In the aquatic gardens, I work in an environment that is fabricated, yet empty of humans in the dawn light; flamboyantly populated by thousands of blossoms in the peak season, yet most interesting in the deteriorating residue; complex and yet containable.

The juncture of earth, water and sky forms the basis of these images, which are influenced by the concept of beauty as imperfect, impermanent and incomplete.
